.– The address on the General tab was corrected to match the default email address – [email protected]– The OAB was regenerated, and complete OAB downloaded in the Outlook client. And thus was solved the mystery of the missing recipients.
GAL Objects are directly viewable in the Exchange Management Console/Shell and OWA and Microsoft Outlook BUT ONLY IN ONLINE MODE – The GAL will only present objects that have AD Attributes beginning with ms EXCH* (and some others) populated that it uses to filter on.
If these attributes are present, then the AD Objects that are Mail-Enabled or Mailbox-Enabled will appear in the GAL – and ultimately the Offline Address Book.
In this case your global address book will update each time Send/Receive is pressed.
24/02/13 If you create a new user, give them a mailbox, and they seemingly fail to appear then don’t panic! If you receive an error message then you can investigate further (Note: Set your Outlook client to send you a delivery report on the test email as well). The easiest way to do this is simply connect to Outlook Web Access, and query the GAL directly (OWA uses the GAL no the OAB like Outlook running in cached mode does). The User/Mailbox IS listed on the Server But NOT in Outlook.
